Sunday Noon Rallies at Camp
Murray (updated 3/19/03)
Sunday Rallies Update by
Mike Behar
Just another
update from the Sunday crew at outpost 122 (Camp Murray). Once again the
skies miraculously cleared for us as we arrived at noon today. The wind
didn’t let up though, which kept things interesting. We had a good size
group today including several surprise, but always welcome drop ins. One
woman (I wish I could remember her name) and her gorgeous little
granddaughter came down as did three other new (for us) OSOT folks. A
Colonel from the base stopped by to chat and gave me his card, he said to
give him a call if he could ever do something for us, do something for
us?!!! I replied that we were the ones who owed him, he said “the best thing
you folks can do for us is pray”, I told him we are and we will. I passed
out pins and flag stickers from the goodie bag you left us last week, very
much appreciated!
On a more technical note, due to family obligations (my sister and I each
are blessed with three active boys and I have one on the way in May) we will
need to cut back our Sunday Rallies to once a month. I will keep you posted
as things progress.
You organized a
great rally on Saturday, and it was well covered by the media. You and your
group are such a blessing you have no idea. PS did you see my letter to the
editor in this Saturday’s Seattle Times? If not go to http://www.michaelsroom.blogspot.org
to see it.
Thanks again,
Michael Behar
