A friend, a digital genius
and one of the “early starters” in Operation Support Our
Troops was recently layed off and is looking for a job. I’m talking
about Ed Hammond. Here’s the short list
of his qualifications:
* Design and Build web
sites using perl, javascript, HTML, Flash, and other formats.
* Building and Repairing computers.
* Worked on DDRII and FB Memory (This will not be out until next year,
the chips still need to be tested).
* Working with such Processors as Pentium 4 (Northwood, Prescott),
and Xeon (Nicona, Potomac).
* Built and maintained lab and manager over lab.
* Built and maintained Network and Network security (Firewalls, Virus
Scans,Patches, spyware scans, adware scans, etc.).
* Worked with Excel and created macros for Excel.
* Worked with GPIB (Ability for computer to talk to various instruments
like Oscilloscope, power supply, Thermal Units, and other devices
by use of programming).
* Helped with the implementation of PCIE, the new standard in I/O
and video (It will replace PCI and AGP).
* Worked with Microsoft Windows XP, 2000, 2002 Server, 2003 Server,
98/95.
* Worked with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)

Counter Kerry
Richard Rongstad has
been contacted by a veteran in Florida about countering the pro-Kerry
veteran vote in Florida. He is serious about doing anything he can
to get out the veteran voters in Florida to vote for Bush, and against
Kerry. If you know the name of anybody, or of organizations that he
can work with, please pass them back to Richard.
This statue is on display
outside the Iraqi palace that is now home to the 4th Infantry division.
It will eventually be shipped and shown at the memorial museum in
Fort Hood, Texas.
This statue was made
by an Iraqi artist named Kalat, who for years was forced by Saddam
Hussein to make the many hundreds of bronze busts of Saddam that dotted
Baghdad.
This artist was so grateful that the Americans liberated his country;
he melted 3 of the fallen Saddam heads and made a memorial statue
dedicated to the American soldiers and their fallen comrades. Kalat
has been working on this night and day for several months.
To the left of the kneeling soldier is a small Iraqi girl giving the
soldier comfort as he mourns the loss of his comrade in arms.
Want to know why we don’t hear this in the news? Because it does not
have the shock effect that a flashed breast or controversy of a political
race.

a 16-year-old honor roll student in La Mesa, Calif. He took advanced
placement classes and was active in sports. On Feb. 12, 2001, he died

drug). Ryan obtained those narcotics from Internet pharmacies. For
some of the drugs, he didn’t have a prescription. Others he got from
a doctor he never met. Ryan’s tragic story illustrates just how dangerous
ordering drugs on the Internet can be.

Here’s a revealing passage
from a Washington Times report on a John Kerry campaign appearance
in Columbus, Ohio:
Talking about education
yesterday, Mr. Kerry also told the largely black crowd at the day
care center that there are more blacks in prison than in college.
“That’s unacceptable,”
he said. “But it’s not their fault.”
Rather than the inmates,
the former Boston prosecutor blamed poverty, poor schools, a dearth
of after-school programs and “all of us as adults not doing what
we need to do.”
What do adults “need
to do” to prevent youngsters from turning to crime? Surely, above
all, instill in them a sense of personal responsibility. Kerry sends
precisely the opposite message when he says of criminals–and, it
would seem, only of those criminals who happen to be black–that “it’s
not their fault.” There’s a tinge of racism, what President Bush
aptly terms “the soft bigotry of low expectations,” in Kerry’s
assumption that young blacks can’t be expected to do any better than
end up in prison.

a columnist for Newsday, wrote that putting Reagan on a $3 bill would
be a suitable tribute. ‘This man Reagan was 93 years old and
out of it with Alzheimer’s for many years and I don’t see how anybody

is cheap, utterly distasteful American publicity.’ Breslin said
that comparing Reagan to Lincoln and Hamilton was like ‘claiming

including installing a $3,000 pink leather sofa.”

“OK…let’s go through
this again. If you agree with The Soufflé; if you claim medical
care as a right, then you are claiming a right to someone’s time or
property. In either case, you are making a claim to a portion of that
person’s life. You cannot obtain medical care without someone either
spending time on you or supplying you with some sort of product, be
it drugs or medical devices. If you’re claiming a right to a medical
practitioner’s time, then you are claiming a right to that portion
of his life. If you are claiming a right to some drug or medical equipment,
then you are claiming a right to whatever portion of someone’s life
they spent acquiring or creating that product. Any way you cut it,

DEMOCRAT vs DEMOCRATIC
I often hear and read,
in various contexts, about the “democratic” party. If people
knew what they were talking about, they would say the Democrat Party
as they say the Republican Party. From my perch, I would say that conservative
Republicans are the ones who truly believe in being democratic as opposed
to Democrats who truly want to tell us how we are to live and what we
can and cannot say. So, let’s don’t confuse democratic with Democrat.

It occurs to me that in
recent years the words secular and liberal have become synonymous. There
are those who are saying that The Passion is dividing Americans…I
suspect that if there’s a division, it is between me and liberal
securalists.
