The testimony in front of
the 9/11 Commission yesterday (4/8) by Bush National Security Adviser
Condoleezza Rice finally put to rest all of the nonsense that has been
out there, peddled by Richard Clarke, that Al Qaeda simply wasn’t a concern
or a priority for the Bush administration. The three hours of testimony
(carried on all the networks) was electric, and a political home run.

panel…and she wasn’t going to have any of it. This woman is tough
as nails. Like I said yesterday, she could run for president in

Navy officers who supervised Democratic presidential candidate John
Kerry when he commanded a swift boat in Vietnam are preparing to publicly
question his war record – including the circumstances under which he
was awarded three Purple Hearts – a noted Vietnam War historian revealed
last Sunday in NewsMax in an
article by Steve Malzberg. Burkett, whose 1999 book, “Stolen
Valor,” is considered to be the definitive history of of falsified
Vietnam War claims, told WABC Radio’s Steve Malzberg that Kerry’s former
commanders would allege that the top Democrat’s Purple Hearts were awarded
for “self-reported injuries that were virtually nonexistent.”

another testimony to the jerk responsible for the death of many of our
troops in Vietnam. It is an account from an Air Force pilot stationed
at Kadena AB, Japan, transporting Kerry to Vietnam and Cambodia. And by
the way, if you’ve ever had to sit in an aircraft without the engines
running, especially in Vietnam or Thailand, it gets UNBELIEVABLEY HOT!

plane) up with a fighter pilot, and the fighter pilot remarked that Kerry
was one of the best pilots he had ever seen. I don’t know about other
pilots out there, but it’s hard to imagine a little, single-engine prop
plane pilot being able to show the ‘right stuff’. After Kerry left the
plane, the Navy Captain came up to us, apologized and said basically that
he knows Kerry is a jerk and that we should be glad we don’t have to deal
with him every day.

Kennedy has launched out dirty tricks to campaign for John Kerry as he
mentioned at Brookings Institution in Washington that President Bush had
neglected for two consecutive years to allow Al-Qaeda having enough time
to reorganize their forces. Shame on Ted ! He should blame Bill “Lewinski”
Clinton that for eight years in the White House, Bill did not have a good
plan to deal with terrorists rather than ducking his head under the sand
like a helpless ostrich with his hope that he could stay away from that
crucial responsibility and only focus in American ???internal affairs???.
After 9/11 attack Americans understood that absolutely there have been
no good plans in place at all to prepare for effective defense and immediate
retaliation in case of terrorists attacks.
Ted “Chappaquiddick” ! Be honest and respect yourself. Do not
put Bush in a big bucket of boiling water of your own to satisfy your
selfish greed and your party’s shallow interests. Please remember that
Democrat Party in the U.S. Congress has also authorized Bush to go ahead
with the war in Afghanistan and Iraq. Now it is the time the Democrat
people should share responsibility with Bush to withdraw our young GI’s
back to the States on schedule by June 2004.
In any circumstances, John Kerry will not have many ballots from our Vietnamese
American voters. Ted’s cheap tricks will not work for sure.

Do I listen to Howard
Stern? No. Did I watch his television show? No again.
No doubt he’s an effective and entertaining broadcaster, but putting
your hand in your armpit and making little fart sounds just doesn’t
hold my attention for that long. I am alarmed, though, at news
that Clear Channel has permanently removed Howard Stern from the broadcast
lineup at any station it owns. Clear Channel is running scared.
The Federal Censorship Commission, formerly known as the Federal Communications
Commission, is on the prowl. Clear Channel isn’t the only radio
group that’s frightened … so are civil libertarians and other radio
station owners. When are you going to start to become alarmed?
This is government censorship. Don’t give me this nonsense about
sexual content. Howard Stern isn’t saying anything that your
children don’t hear behind the gym on any given day. All radios
have at least two knobs .. and a simple twist of either one will quiet
anything you find offensive. This witch hunt has gone on long
enough. It’s time for Americans to worry about where the FCC,

John Kerry makes much
of his Vietnam War experience. Let’s have a logical look at that experience.
He was “in-country” for four months. Let’s say that he was
in transit in and out of country for at least a week. Further, let’s
say that he was actually on a boat on patrol for 50% of his time.
Afterall, there’s got to be time for sleeping, eating, going to the
latrine, drinking beer, shooting the breeze and maintenance on his
boat. So, maybe for two months out of the four he was exposed to combat.
He truly set a record. No one in Vietnam out of the thousands that
served received three Purple Hearts and a Silver Star in such a short
period of time. Finally, Kerry won’t release medical records from
that time, records that could document just how serious, or superficial,
the wounds he supposedly sustained might have been. In my own time
in Vietnam, I recall a situation where a man shot himself in the foot.
He ended up in a hospital, received a Purple Heart and was sent home.

Hi Ron,
Read your article on the Heinz family fortune, and the use of it to
fund the Tides Foundation. Based on the current use of our military
to fight wars based on faulty and intentionally misleading information,
(and I believe it was with the intent to mislead), any support of
anti-(false)war actions is ethically spent. When we do things with
other people’s lives, for reasons of reprisal, (or for any other misguided
reason), then the blood of those that die are on our hands. Leading
a country to war for false reasons is a treasonous act. In the case
of a President it is impeachable. Personally, George Bush should not
be allowed to run for a second term as this Nations President. Rather
he should be removed from
public office, and should ask for the forgiveness of all those who
have died in this misguided war. It is a noose around this nations
neck, its relationships to the world, its integrity and humanity.
I don’t know yet if John Kerry will do any better, but I am willing

money is used to support Islamic terrorist organizations. Do you have
legitimate objective proof of this? Please provide links so I can
verify this for myself rather than “you say so”. These are
very perilous times we are in as a country and now I am going to be
sure of everything and not take any undocumented slander as a basis

There was no name attached to the second note.
The writer of the second note seemed to think that the article was
mine. It was written by Paul Hollrah, a former State Representative
(R), District 8, Oklahoma. He also served as a member of the Electoral
College in 2000. A search turned up the following, a letter to Chuck

Condoleezza Rice told the 9/11 Commission Thursday morning that it was
an alert Customs agent – and not the Clinton administration “shaking
the trees” for intelligence on al-Qaida – who deserves credit for
foiling the December 1999 al-Qaida plot to bomb Los Angeles International
Airport.
“After September 11,
Dick Clarke sent us the after action report that had been done after
the Millennium Plot,” Rice told the Commission. “And their
assessment was that Ressam had been caught by chance.”
What’s more, at the time
Clarke said the White House had gone to “battle stations”
based on intelligence an attack was coming, the Customs Bureau received
no warnings from Clinton officials about potential al-Qaida attacks.
“I’ve checked with
Customs,” said Rice. “And according to their records, they
weren’t actually on alert at that point.”
Instead, said the top Bush
official, a Washington State-based Customs agent and her partner deserved
credit for saving LAX.
“It was because a
very alert Customs agent named Diana Dean and her colleague sensed something
about Ressam,” Rice explained.
“They saw that something
was wrong. They tried to apprehend him. He tried to run. They then apprehended
him, [then] found that there was bomb-making material and a map of Los
Angeles in his car.
“Dick Clarke would
say you got a lucky break,” Rice told the Commission. “I would
say you had an alert Customs agent who got it right.”
While Teddy was trying
to teach a young woman how to swim, his brother was sending 26,000 troops
into Vietnam…and this lout informs us that Iraq is Bush’s Vietnam

Kennedy, Iraq Is No Vietnam – And Vietnam wasn’t what you think
it was
I am a conservative. I’m part of that group of conservatives in the
party who is not altogether happy with George W. Bush. I see lots of
reasons to find fault with steps that he has taken in various areas.
But I’ll tell you one thing: I think it’s time that everybody in this
country understand that when we are faced with a threat to our very
survival, we put aside other things. Even if, let us say for a minute
that Iraq was a mistake, as some people are trying to argue. I’d rather
have a president who errs on the side of defending this country, and
going after our enemies, than somebody like
[Democratic presidential contender] John Kerry, who wants to sit on
his butt and does nothing while Americans die. And I think that’s the

I would like to add my
two cents about my John Kerry experience. During my career as an Air
Force pilot, I spent two years flying a small twin-engine prop plane
around the Pacific from my base in Okinawa, Japan. On one trip we had
to fly Senator Kerry, his congressional aide, and a Navy Captain (Vietnam,
A-4 fighter pilot) who was also in Kerry’s party to various locations
in Vietnam and Cambodia as part of the MIA/POW talks.
When I met him, he was
wearing a shirt with a picture of his sailboat on it. I told him I had
a small 27′ sailboat in Okinawa, he remarked ‘Oh I never sail on anything
less than 135 feet’. I laughed to myself and realized this guy was no
sailor.
When we first flew him
into Phnom Penh, he went to the back of the airplane and grabbed the
pizza that was put aside for the crew and passed it around to his staff.
He was never offered any pizza because they were supposed to have lunch
with the Cambodian government once we landed. The pizza would have been
our only meal that day. He just never cared to ask. Then when we picked
him up in Cambodia, he was an hour late getting to the airport. We could
not start the engines and therefore the air conditioning until he arrived.
Phnom Penh at that time
was over 100 degrees with 95% humidity and we were basically sitting
in a greenhouse behind the cockpit windows. When he finally did arrive,
we were wringing out our clothes from the perspiration. He walks out
of the air conditioned car, into the airplane and asks us ‘Could you
guys get the air conditioning running, I’m a little warm.” The
other pilot had to physically restrain me from going back there and
making him a little warmer.
Then we took him into Noi
Bai airfield in Hanoi. After we picked him up the next day (he stayed
the night in Vietnam, we stayed in Bangkok) we taxied out, ran up the
engines for takeoff, and noticed that our prop rpm was vibrating all
over the place. We taxied off to the side to look at it, but there was
a good possibility that there was an engine malfunction and the engine
may fail if we took off with it. Well, Mr. Senator sticks his head up
in the cockpit and says ‘this plane WILL take – off, I have a press
conference in Bangkok in three hours!”(Maybe this is an indication
of how he will run the FAA). We ran the engines again, and did not have
the problem, so we took off and made it back.
