I am a Washington State Vietnam Veteran living in Lynnwood with a number
of questions about Senator John Kerry I would like to see addressed. If
he were not the Democrat Party candidate for president, it would not be
imperative that I get the answers. However, since he could be the next
president of our country, I believe the questions need to be asked and
answered.
Why has Senator Kerry not been held accountable or charged with perjury
for lying in his testimony before a Senate Committee in 1971 in which
he charged veterans such as me with malicious and heinous acts while serving
in Vietnam? I suspect his words and activities following his four months
of service in Vietnam contributed to treatment such as being spit on which
I and other Vietnam vets experienced.
Why has Senator John Kerry not been charged as a war criminal for his
own self admitted criminal actions while serving in Vietnam? There is
no statute of limitations for war crimes. He has stated on numerous occasions
in the past that he participated in illegal killings while in Vietnam,
including, a child, a baby and a mother.
Why has Senator Kerry not been charged with violating the Laws of Land
Warfare for executing a wounded enemy combatant? It is policy and required
under the Law of Land Warfare that wounded enemy soldiers be treated for
their injuries and held as POW’s. What’s puzzling and offensive is
his receiving a Silver Star for this contemptible act.
Why has no one challenged his Silver Star award and sought DOD review
of that award to have it rescinded?
Why has the first Purple Heart that John Kerry received for a self-inflicted
wound not rescinded?
Why was Senator Kerry not held accountable for illegally meeting with
the Vietnamese Peace Delegation in Paris?
Why has Senator Kerry not been held accountable for his leadership or
lack thereof in his chairing of the Select Committee on POW/MIA’s? He
closed the hearings before all information was presented and had much
of the information classified so as to limit public access.
Why has Senator Kerry not been challenged for his conduct as a leader
of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War? His actions aided and abetted
an enemy and cost the lives of Americans and Vietnamese allies.
A final question:
Are you going to support John Kerry in his candidacy for President of
the United States?
Respectfully,
Ron Siddell
