they like George W. Bush “Without a doubt, Bush’s humor is to his
credit, and especially where WMDs are concerned, humor is Bush’s perfect
— maybe his only — shield against the partisan attacks that rain on
him every day. Speaking as a member of the U.S. armed forces, I personally
never cared if Iraq had WMDs …..Good for the president for having
the humility and the character to be able to poke fun at himself. For
me, this makes him even more impressive as a leader, and if there is
any shame to be had, it goes to the president’s sworn civil enemies
in the press, the Democratic [sic] Party and other divisions of the
left. They claim their attacks are for the good of the soldiery. This
is a bald lie, and they know it, and it’s time someone started calling
them on it. These people don’t give a tinker’s damn about anyone in
uniform. They see us as Nazis and storm troopers and stupid, midget-minded
pawns. Not much has changed since the ’60s. They loathe us now as they
loathed us then, during my father’s generation, and the crocodile tears
they cry for our fallen troops aren’t worth the Kleenex that catches
them. I pray that Bush earns a second term, in spite of it all.”

Kerry:
Let the UN Do It

After weeks of irrelevance,
John Kerry has broken his silence over the Iraq issue. So just what
would sKerry do differently in Iraq? His solution is to turn the whole
operation over to the United Nations! What a brilliant idea…now somebody
just name one successful U.N. operation and we’ll talk. That’s right,
you can’t name any…didn’t think so.

Now keep in mind, he wants
to hand our hard-fought control over to the same United Nations that
for over a decade failed to handle the problem in the first place. From
the inept inspections to the worthless security council resolutions…the
U.N. just flat-out didn’t get it done. What makes him think they will
now? What a complete disaster this would be. This is just another of
a long line of reasons why Kerry must be defeated this November.

Let’s look at the U.N.’s
recent history in Iraq, shall we? Right after Saddam Hussein was overthrown,
they cut and run out of Baghdad with the first explosion. Now that’s
commitment. And how about their oil-for-food program? All that did was
line the pockets of Saddam Hussein and his corrupt cronies at the U.N…and
did little to feed the Iraqi people. What a smashing record of success!

sKerry’s ideas for Iraq
are not only dangerous, but would flush our military victory in Iraq
down the toilet. The U.N. is not the answer to anything…except this
question: what is the most worthless waste of office space in the world?

Radio Network DOA

As predicted, the liberal
talk radio network, hot Air America, is failing miserably. But what
is surprising is not that they are failing, but just how spectacularly
the whole thing is going bust. Here’s a quick tidbit about the biz for
the not-so-enlightened.

To have a talk radio network,
you need affiliates to carry your shows. These shows need to get ratings,
so the stations that carry them make money. But that’s not how Al Franken
and company are getting on the air. Nope. They’re paying stations to
carry their shows…and do you know what shows that do that are called?
Infomercials. That’s what they are. No different than the shows on cable
in the middle of the night selling you fat-burning pills. And so after
only two weeks, things aren’t looking so good.

It seems the folks at Air
America wrote a bad check to the stations carrying their shows in Chicago
and Los Angeles, and it bounced. That went over like a lead balloon
and they were yanked off the air by those station managers. Bummer.
The media provided this enterprise with endless amounts of hype and
coverage, and all they have done with all the promotion is waste it.

The problem with the idea
of a liberal talk radio network is that they believe there is a conservative
talk radio network. They think there is some conspiracy by conservatives
to dominate the airwaves, when in all reality it comes down to serving
the market and giving people what they want. And it doesn’t look like

“House Judiciary Committee Chairman F. James Sensenbrenner, Jr.
(R-WI) called on 9/11 Commissioner Jamie Gorelick to resign Wednesday
over what he says is a conflict of interest revealed during Attorney
General John Ashcroft’s testimony before the panel. Ashcroft pointed
to a 1995 memo written by the former deputy attorney general that heightened
the ‘wall’ prohibiting the sharing of intelligence information and criminal
information. In a press release, Sensenbrenner…cited the commission’s
own guidelines on recusals that states, ‘commissioners and staff
will recuse themselves from investigating work they performed in prior

“Jamie Gorelick, a woman Dick Morris has called the public official
‘most responsible for 9/11 happening,’ is refusing to leave
her post on the 9/11 Commission. She was the deputy attorney general
during the Clinton years, and by all accounts really wore the pants
at the justice department. So once again, we have another double standard.
Can you imagine the howls of protest if a former Bush official was on
this same commission charged with investigating events in which they
took part? The media would be jumping up and down, along with Democrats
in Congress. As it stands now, hardly a word. Funny how that happens,

Jamie’s Apology

September 11 commission member Jamie Gorelick, as deputy attorney general
for three years beginning in 1994, ‘was an architect of the government’s
self-imposed procedural wall, intentionally erected to prevent intelligence
agents from pooling information with their law-enforcement counterparts,’
writes Andrew C. McCarthy, a former chief assistant U.S. attorney who
led the 1995 terrorism prosecution against
Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman and 11 others.

“That is not partisan carping. That is a matter of objective fact.
That wall was not only a deliberate and unnecessary impediment to information
sharing; it bred a culture of intelligence dysfunction. It told national
security agents in the field that there were other values, higher interests,
that transcended connecting the dots and getting it right. It set them
up to fail,” Mr. McCarthy said in an opinion piece at National

That Broke United Way Back

“I’ve finally had it with the United Way. This week, yet another
United Way chapter cut off funding to the Boy Scouts of America. United
Way of Northwestern Michigan in Traverse City, Michigan will entirely
remove the Scenic Trails Boy Scouts Council from its charitable giving
campaign. . . . Since the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 2000 that the
Scouts have the right to exclude homosexuals from leadership and membership,
the anti-Scout backlash has been most vicious at the hands of the United
Way.

“…It’s time for Americans who care about the Boy Scouts to stop
giving to anti-Scout United Ways. Even if it’s convenient to make contributions
through your workplace or if you’ve always supported the United Way,
discontinue giving to the United Way if it no longer gives to the Scouts.
Until we stop supporting anti-Scout United Way chapters, the United
Way will increasingly de-fund the Boy Scouts in cities and towns across

Time To Move On

Forgotten Warriors

“There are about 8,100 America GIs still missing in action in North
Korea and since 1996 operations have been underway to identify the remains
of some of them. So far, 180 American soldiers have been recovered.
Now the good news: The Defense Department announced recently that for
the first time in these efforts, equipment and supplies have been allowed
to flow to U.S. recovery teams working north of the DMZ.

to bring any remains they discover back home with them after each search
operation. Five operations have been scheduled for this year — in Unsan
County and near the Chosin Reservoir, both sites of major battles and

to see that North Korean officials have quietly stepped up their co-operation
